Default 18" VXR polished alloys HELP

    Hey peeps,

Hope this is in the right section
Been offered a set of replica 18" vxr alloys, they come with nearly new budget tyres and in good condition. Is £300 a good price?

Going to go have a look at them later so a heads up on value would be great....

    Cheers peeps

Forgot to add there missing 1 centre cap and they dont seem cheap

With tyres I think thats a godd price, as long as their in a condition you are happy with.

Well it looks like the alloys are a no go, called insurance company to see if my premium would go up? There reply was "we wont insure them as they are a performance modifaction (as they are bigger than original), if you have a accident your insurance will be void and the policy cancelled"
MMMMmmmm Thanks, I will defo be changing insurer come december.

Yep I would say so mate because there modifications. They way my insurance said it was " we will insure and cover any equipment that was fitted by the manufacturer when the car was first purchased, any gm or aftermarket parts fitted after the first purchase date is classed as a modifiction and will effect the insurance premium"

My insurance just said if I was to fit them and have a crash my insurance would be void, meaning they will not pay out and I will have trouble getting insurance after that

Back to topic...........Just going to get mine refurbed and powdercoated like planned..

I'd be looking for a better insurance company then, thats gotta be a joke!!

I changed the wheels on my Range Rover Sport to other LR wheels whilst the original wheels were having the color changed and the insurance company asked why I bothered to let them know...

Its swiftcover they are cheap but totally useless. They will not insure any performance or handling changes to the car. I will be changing when its renewal time in december.....
