    Hi, what is the general cost to replace a cambelt and water pump for a vec c 1.8 sri?

    Really! Might just get it serviced and MOT'd then as selling the car anyway!

    Cost me £50. Never replaced the water pump as the mileage was very low. Genuine VX Belt kit off ebay £50 and water pump is about £35. If you can get a mechanic to do it as a homer its only about 1.5 hour job so doubt it would be more than £60

    Default cambelt

    about £100 for the parts alone from ebay (water pump and belt kit inc rollers ect), £250-300 fitted at most non vauxhall garages.

    Cost me about £280 about 2 months ago from Halfords autocentres.

    Well it is costing me £150 for the MOT and service and £280 for the cambelt and waterpump to be changed.

    The car has only done 56k so not sure if i can leave it a bit and just get the MOT & service done for now and the cambelt and waterpump done later (after xmas)
