confused Help with uneven tyre ware

Hi I've just notice that my left front tyre has uneven wear on it's the inside edge that's wearing the right hand side is ok do you think that the tracking could be out. I have not hit anything with the wheel or potholes so I dont know what the problem could be

If this same tyre has been on the rear, then that suggests the rear suspension component has worn
It is very common to have uneven wear on front tyres if the toe on one side is incorrect, this then wears out the tyre on the opposite side

So first thing is to have the entire suspension examined for worn components
If this shows no issues, then a full four wheel alignment can be carried out

Odd, whenever I've had the tracking out (on the front), only one tyre has abnormally worn.

As above, if the toe is incorrect on one side then there will be wear on one side
As mentioned previously this is an indication the cheap method of adjustment was used and simply adjusted one side to obtain the correct toe, where as both sides should be adjusted (the difference between front wheel alignment and full four wheel alignment)

Equally, if you drive around a lot of roundabouts then there is more likely to be wear on the nearside front tyre (on a front wheel drive only car)

Don't have just the tracking done, acceptable if the alignment was carried out recently and suspension is known to be in good condition (MoT recent)

Swap the rears to the front, and have the new tyres fitted to the rear
At the same time have the entire suspension examined
Once completed have a full four wheel alignment carried out (Hunters equipment)
