    Default VXR Honeycomb stuff

    Hi

As I am already starting to think of changes to make to my forthcoming SRi Nav XP veccy, I would like to replace the front bumper and grill inserts with the honeycomb style stuff that the VXR has.

Is this possible?, the grille looks the same, but i'm not sure about the bumper and fog surrounds.

Anyone know the answer to this?

    Cheers

    Andy

The only bit of info I have on the grill bit, is when Vauxhall Dealer painted my 'V' grill they noted how BIG the plastic slats were that sit behind the 'V' grill. Apparently they go half way down the inside of the bumper....??

Dont know anything at all about the honeycombed VXR thingies.... dont think anyone has done that modification yet !!

You could be the first and Guru on the subject once completed !!

I do like the honeycomb, looks much nicer than the standard SRi stuff :

Question is, are the fogs and front bumper holes the same size??

Answer: No, the VXR fog lights are a completely different shape/size and will not fit on the facelift SRi bumper. Neither will the Signum chrome fog surrounds. The Signum shape is correct but the fog light surrounds are 'heat bonded' onto the bumper. The lugs that are used are in a completely different position to the Vectra. This means that they also cannot be used !! - thats what I have been reliably told anyhow.. you may want to double check the signum fog surrounds yourself first...

Pain in the backside, as I wanted chrome surrounds on my SRi

Oh well i'm not gonna start putting on a new bumper and fogs just to have the honeycomb. Might have to do the painted V-grill though, that looks really nice. That and a nice VXRD badge on the back

I notice you took the badge off the back of yours Spoons, how hard was that?, is just a hairdryer job?

Yep, cut & blow dry should do it....

I used an old plastic card (like a credit card) to slide beneath the badge and cut through the sticky pad. Whatever bits of sticky pad were left, I used car wax to rub it off with.. Bit of hard work and Tar Remover would of been easier...

Should leave your chrome strip nice and shiney !!!!

Call Rob on 01922 645 938 for your VXRD badge, but remember to allow at least a week for manufacturing it
