    Default Problems :((

    Hello all,

I am having a few problems with my Veccy,

    Low performance,
    Flat Spots,
    Increased MPG,

I have changed the EGR and cleaned the Boost sensor,

What else can be wrong guys!!!

Now I got the tool light on the dash.

    Any ideas?

Noticed on your profile you have a CDTi SRi 150?

Check the swirl bar is still attached, and check the turbo / vac pipes for spilts

Is there a thread on how to check the swirl bar?

Will be checking as many pipes as possible,

The wistle on the turbo is still there but on a scale from 1 to 10 being 10 the worst I would give it a 7 if so (

Very down at the mo with many things, such as work the new house building and other more private issues and there comes my Veccy the only thing that puts a smile to my face this days and Boooom, sadness all over (

Maybe I am just having a bad day, hey oh.. .

take the plastic engine cover off
attatched to the top back of the engne is the inlet manifold.

The most common problem with loss of power is split vacuum pipes on the front of the engine the runbber elbows split.

    Unlucky mate.

As others have said, check the swirl valves. Look down the back of the engine and you'll see the inlet manifold. You'll see the bar there too. It should be attached but if it's lose or just flapping around not attached to anything, it will be time for a new inlet manifold.

Hope you get it sorted dude.

    Hello all,
    Right,
Pipes all checked and no cuts or anything diferent than normal,
Swirl Bar checked and moving freely and tbh almost clean, no much soot,
Will see how it behaves on route to work later on and will be crossing my fingers that all is back to normal )
    Thank you all,
