    Default cd70 navi wont read map disc

    Right i have recently brought a cd70 navi screen and head unit (paired) of ebay , ive fitted it to the car today to only find it wont read the cd map disc says incorrect disc please insert correct cd was told from the ebayer i got it of the stereo /screen was from a 2007 exclusive model and the map disc it came with was a 2005 version . would this be the problem the disc is too old and need a new 2007 onwards map disc ? also does it need any new firmware either? im lost if some one can help us as im pritty stessed to find this problem after paying out alot of wonga for it , regards

    Load the language disc first,follow the instructions to set language, and wait for it to self-eject. Then load the map disk, which it will retain if it is OK.

    Also it's the LOWER of the 2 slots in the CD70, where you insert the Satnav disks.

    Apologies if you know this already, but it's worth retrying.

    Normal error message on map disk if it cannot be read is 'No CD!'

    Does it self load the language disc do i have to press anything ? also when i put the map disc in it does say no cd or incorrect cd :@:@:@:@

    which makes me beleave its the wrong map cd and was proberly running on a 2007 or newer disc grrrr at it

    hmzzzzz better not be was from a high rated vauxhall breakers so could be 50/50 but if its the worse case senario ill just claim my money back through paypal ARRRRRHHHH

    Yes, you insert it as you would an audio CD and it takes it in.

    Sounds like the Map Disc is damaged or corrupted.

    Sounds like the DVD Rom is broke. Mine does that from time to time. Say's no disc when a disc is in or incorrect disk. I give the side of the dash a bang and the disc pops out. I then give it a wee clean and in again and it works. But I'm just waiting for it to completly give up.
