    Question What should I do?

Need help deciding what to do here.

The missus wants a new car.

Does she trade in her's, and get what she wants?

Or does she trade in mine, and I get her car (and she get a new car)?

    Currently I have a 52 plate 2.2 DTi SRi

She currently has a 56 plate Veccy 1.9 CDTi SRi 150 with 130k miles.

Unsure. Love the power of the CDTi, but spent a fortune on it so don't really want to see it go. BUT will it now be reliable?? The old DTi has been trouble free.....!

    Tricky one!

Have you had any expensive jobs done for it to be trouble free for a while? Cambelt/ waterpump, any bearings manifolds etc??

The DTi has no cambelt Only money I've spent on it in a year (16k miles) of ownership is 4 springs, 2 rear shockers and upper arms.

    And normal servicing.

Her CDTi has had clutch / DMF / Timing belt / Water pump / Alternator / Exhaust, and a near death experience when it overheated to 110 degrees when the coolant bleed screw popped out Seems to be ok now though.....!

    Very tempted

AND the old DTi appears to be worth more as a trade-in than the CDTi

Just need to wait for her to decide what she wants

I ment to put keep dti but choose the wrong one lol. Its ur choice but we are getting some repeat failures on the 1.9 engines. Some are having a 2nd flywheel after 60-70k miles and the midified manifolds still fall apart

Well the clutch and DMF were done only 3k miles ago.

However, it has the original inlet manifold still, with 130k Re-attached swirl bar and freed valves and it seems ok! http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=142503
