    Default Overkill

Is anybody watching Corrie? Carla got raped. Outside her flat is 2 marked Police cars and two unmarked CID cars , all with blue lights flashing (CID cars with grille lights), then a shot of a third marked Astra turning up on full blues and twos .

A bit later on, a shot of the Police giving Carla and Maria a lift home, ON BLUE LIGHTS They're taking her home for gawds sake lol.

I could almost hear the guffaws of laughter from all the coppers up and down the country watching it lol.

I don't know so much, when our idiot rear neighbour, blind drunk, called the police at around 2.45am saying I was in my pajamas in the back garden firing a shotgun at him we had an armed and armoured police unit, 6 panda cars, two dog units - all for two disabled pensioners in our pajamas (we were asleep in bed, 3.30am).
The bloke who reported us was staggering around in his garden watching, trying to neck a square shaped bottle of spirits and later claimed we called the police who dragged his wife screaming out of his shed (at 3am, go figure)

Totally different mate. Someone reported with a gun is treated as a major incident and will be responded to as such. The Police or Control room don't know that its just a drunken idiot responsible. So I can understand that. Should it have turned out to be real, I'm sure the locals would have appreciated a heavy Police presence and if there wasn't, they get slated to bits

I've had a chuckle from some of the comments tonight to the effect of 'rubbish telly' and 'her cr4p' etc. I think its a man thing that you are seen as weak and unmanly if you watch soaps. I can imagine you all puffing your chests out as you type. It is also a sign of weakness for a man to like cats and kittens. You will instantly be disowned by the crew down the pub if you so much as glance at a cat. I defy any one of you to not play with a kitten if presented with one
