Default Help needed with leak on signum :( (with pics)

I thought id managed to fix this but clearly not as i just went to my car and its sopping

I mentioned in another thread and you can see on the pics that the passenger side light has a small crack in it.

well i discovered the leak and then traced it back to that, however alot of water had already got in,
i siliconed the gap up and even put a small peice of plastic in and siliconed around that (looks tidy though)
and thought i was onto a winner, however just been out now and its still getting in!

so im wondering if anyone has dealt with anything like this before.

the little access hatch where you get to the light cluster.. jesus well i opened it before and its sopping wet in there and the wires are wet

my spare tyre area was covered in water too, and as im writing this its bombing it down so please anyone got any ideas ???

the little light crack is surely not still letting water in, however its weird that it is only on the passenger side where the crack is,

thanks guys and i really hope someone can shine some light or ill be getting a vectra|! lol

Have you actually undone the three nuts that hold the light unit in place and checked that it has the foam seal still in place, might be leaking from there

    hi m8

i had a right puddle in me spare wheel well on me last signum and i checked
everywere and it wasnt leaking through the rear lamps or anything but it
kept filling up so i eventually found the problem so here goes-

the rubber seal around the aperture wasnt pushed on properly so check
along the top and were it turns and comes down each side and also down
were the rear lights are,the main leaking was on bends were the seal turns
so make sure the seal is fully pushed fully against the body, soon as i done
this i sorted my leak and at the time my car was under warranty which i
was given a new seal and boot floor carpet etc.

let us know how you get on

Thanks guys your all the best, ill check all these things

i just got a feeling it's to fo with the light though becos,
inside the boot where the access hatch is sopping wet and that's nowhere near the aerial or hose thing, and it's wet near like.. The bottom left hand corner metal ring where you attach the cargo net

but besides getting a new light I don't know unless like someone said above,
take the light out and maybe silicon it up??
    Thanks a million guys

Not saying it's definitely it, but the aerial base is a VERY common problem on the Vecs, the rubber deteriorates, the water gets underneath it and runs down the inside of the roof, down the back pillars and into the boot.

    Very common indeed.

Hmmm I wonder if it could be the aerial, how could I check that.. Just get a new one?

To be fair I've looked at it and it's a bit knacked, but wouldn't the water be on both sides and not just the side with the cracked light

Just changed my aerial base yesterday as it had perished and my boot had water in it. Ok the Signum is different from the Vec but I took the N/S boot lining out and ran the hose over the aerial base and was able to watch the water pour in the NS inner wing area.
