    Default vauxhall service plan ?

hi has anyone signed up for the vauxhall service plan they have just quoted my vectra 2.2 direct 70k on the clock at £578.20 or a deposit of £102.68 then 19 monthly payments of £23.70 intrest free and thats for 2 Large services & one Intermediate Service. What do you guys think ? have any of you done this ? I normally service the car myself but i signed up to the AA parts & labour service yesterday and i want to use vauxhall so the AA cant wriggle out of any claim what do you all think thanks

I opt to buy the parts myself and have my local mechanic do the job and stamp the book. All in for less that £120 on my 80k service (major) (VX want £226 + VAT!)

The next service will be due before you've paid for the first one looking at the payment plan. That means being permanently in debt to vx. I would rather get my servicing done elsewhere and not pay their extortionate prices.

At that mileage it should include the cambelt change
To see what value for money it is obtain a quote for the next three services and compare

I had this when I bought my Vectra and included six services, warranty, and breakdown (replacing the Network Q warranty)
The servicing alone paid for itself, plus had new brake pads and discs several times, then finally the clutch at the last month
I also had a small refund as the plan included six services but the car only required five

It depends on if it is a dealership plan or VX plan
As far as I am aware the dealership is free to charge anything they like, based on the cost from their Service Department

The price of the VX plan is fixed, it was previously called the Complete Protection Plan and is calculated on a cost per mile that you expect over the term of the plan
