Brake light warning message

Hi guys,

i have a 57 plate veccy.

Every now and again i get my brake light warning message on my little display screen and the warning light on the dash lights up.
Ive checked the bulbs etc and the lights are in full working order. Ive checked the connections and they all seem ok.
Has anyone else had this issue or got any clues?

Hi,
I have also had this problem. I have checked all the bulbs etc and everything works but still keep getting the message up.

I'm in the same boat as you.

Hoping someone on here has the solution!

double check the rear lights, as when one bulb blows it uses a different one (maybe the fog light i cant remember) as a substitute - check they are both level...

If it isnt that, then i've no idea.

Just change the bulbs and clean the connections from the loom to the light back panel. Odds on its the bulb. Mine did this and the bulbs looked fine, what I couldn't see at the time was the element was moving freely in the bulb, most of the time it was in contact with both poles but now and again it came adrift and tripped the warning message.

even if the brake light still works their will be a problem with one of the bulbs i use to get it all the time untill i went to the shop and bought 4 brakelight bulbs and changed the whole lot on both sides now nothing no warnings and didnt cost that much

Change all four bulbs!
