    Default front grill

    has any one just removed it and sprayed it was just thinking i would like to take it off and spray it all black how would i go about this

    i did my last pre face lift grill all black.

    pop the bonnet, unbolt from the back, scuff up the chrome bit, prime with plastic primer, when dry, smooth off primer with 1200 wet and dry sand paper, clean grill with water and dry, then i painted mine satin black but its your choice. job done.

    sorry grills not to clear but it mit give you an idea.

    thanks very much what paper to use for the chrome roughting up bit lol

    I used an 800 sandpaper on mine. worked well

    not 100%, but i think it was 400 grit.

    you just need to scuff it up so the primer sticks properly.

    cheaper than irmscher and still likes pretty nice.
