    Default retro fitting headlight washers

is it possible on the vec c?
does it use a larger washer bottle and extra pump like the vec b?

i done this to my old vec b, by wiring up a relay and connecting to the sidelight power and the windscreen washer power, so they would only come on if the headlights were on.

would this be ok on the vec c or would the canbus light wiring cause an issue?

could you even use the headlight washer setup from a vec b on a vec c?

how much would tech2 normally cost?

its a good how2 but to confusing for me to grasp with one read lol.

but basically, first step is to check the pins where the relay sits, and check if i have the plug at the washer bottle?

then its just a case of actually fitting the bits, and plugging it all in, then tech2 to activate?

do the parts have to be vec c, or are they the same as vec b/omega? (just to widen the search)

Correct. Theres pretty much a good chance of someone near by with tech2 or opcom that will be able to activate it for you for a beer token or 2. If youve got HIDs fitted you can get them activated at the same time too. Things like the 3 way non return valve and connectors to the washer jets fit from the omega, and the pump is the same, but after that Im not sure.

well had a look today (and a feel lol).
the space where the white relay sits, the pins are there. i felt under the bumper and can feel 2 plugs, one is a small one (i assume level sensor) and the other is bigger and sits higher up, which i assume is the plug for the headlight pump.

so it looks like all the wiring is in the car. so i assume i just need to get the jets, piping, larger washer bottle, headlight pump, and then tech 2?

Heres what the plug your looking for looks like. So after that yes, ebay and GPS are the best places to search for bits, or its down the dealer with about £200 in your hand.
