Default away to pump 500L of heating oil with a 3.99 ebay drill pump.

as were moving house this weekend and have oil as our heating im gonna have to get it shifted. my local oil supplier wont move it anymore as people were filling there tanks with water and contaminating there tankers.

so they put me in touch with a guy and they said he was cheap, £100 and 2 hours to move it! might add my new house is 200 yards round the corner. so invested my hard earned cash on a nasty all plastic drill pump short on funds after new carpets lol

i have got a 100l barrel and 2 25l drums so gonna be gettin busy this afternoon. i have a feeling tho this pump is gonna be a let down. something about priming it first any ideas guys? cheers

Think you'll just have to suck on the end of it till it gets to the impeller mate, then start the drill.

I just shifted about 500 litres of heating oil from a tank to my dads tank, about 100 yards. Used 4 25ltr drums and two funnels from local motor factors. Used drain tap on tank to be emptied and tipped the oil into dads tank using lid on top. Took me and bro in law 4 hrs. Dad said he would see us right. Gave us £50 between us!!!! Old mans loaded to!!! Rich get richer eh?
