    Default Dale Farm Eviction

Breaking news that the appeal has been rejected and the travellers will now be removed from the illegal part of the site

    Do you agree with this

The law on green belt land is there for a reason. Been in the news a few times lately, travellers buying "green" land and trying to build a permanent site.
Why should they be exempt from the law the rest of us have to follow?

As Penfold said why keep calling them travellers! Thats not what they are! I think the term criminals would cover it!

The baillifs ought to wait for benefit day before trying to evict them.

That way most of the residents will be out collecting theirs and the site will be mainly empty

Have to admit, recently when a reasonable amount of them set up camp in a field not too far away from me, I was a whole lot more vigilant about making sure the cars and the house were locked all of the time.

I'm thinking it wasn't coincidence that clothes were stolen off a washing line nearby at that same time as they were about, and cash was taken out of a friends car just around the corner. (He's a plonker for leaving it there, granted.......)

I think everyone has covered the topic here really, we have to abide by the law but they are exempt from it, however you move them from one site and what happens? You have a host of "travellers" who now look for other spots to setup home. Sometimes its better the devil you know. Let them be it saves other areas from becoming a target and at least they can be controlled on the Dale Farm estate
