Anybody know anything about telescopes. I'm having a Conservatory built and fancy a telescope in it. I live in a rural area and we get some lovey clear skies.
I want a fairly decent one, but not more than £80-£90.

i have a small tasko one paul its a 660x refractor telescope im sure it cost me about 90 quid about 8 years ago great for looking at the moon and the brightest stars not used it for a wee while now need to get it out of the loft as its a cracking night tonight as its very clear
I was looking at a Tasco one on ebay. Just trying to work out what I actually need.
this one link is similar to my one but its 500x but still very good
Telescopes are great fun but do take up more time than you think. My wife got me a Meade a few years ago along with a nice case of lenses. You will find you get what you pay for !!. Tasco are ok but its the different between driving with just your left eye open or both. You decide
Was in egypt earlier this year... went out into the hills - no light pollution... was looking through some scopes and saw saturn and jupiter... well worth getting one!..
