its stamped up fully up intill 70,000 what would you reccomend changing the usual filer , oil pollen filer , air filter , the guy i got it off said it had a oil change just before he got the car , worry about the burnt oil smell at the min =(
the 55 miles that its returned was me putting £15 in the car when the warning range of 31 miles came up

You haven't said and no one has asked about the 55 miles. Was it stop start in traffic, round town, motorway? Was the engine warn or cold? 10 short journeys if 5.5 miles or one 55 mile journey?

If it went into limp mode then I would get the codes read. Being in limp mode isn't the most economical, it's designed to get you home in a no frills way.
