after missin out on a 2.0T i am not expectin 1 coming up anytime soon. I noticed a 3.0 V6 diesel come up for sale recently, I was just wondering what current owners thought of them? How is there running costs? how reliable are they in the long run??

Mate had one - reckoned it misfired, but I couldn't tell. Had a few issues with the engine and spent a fortune on engine and driveshaft issues.
I dunno if his was just a dud one, but it went like **** off a shovel!!!
I have recently bought a 2006 Vec C SRi V6 CDTi hatchback, done 46k. I "upgraded" from a Vec B 2.6 SRi V6 running 192bhp. The C isn't exciting like the B, but it pulls well enough, can't see it pins me in to the back of the seat or anything. I love the cruise control, never had that on a car before.
Economy is just under 28mpg, but that's short runs mostly, engine barely warm before it is turned off.
An ex-Vauxhall technician told me he wouldn't touch one with a barge pole as he had seen some massive engine related repair bills, but isn't that the same for most cars?!
I had one with no problems, would have another.
smooth smooth smooth love mines just purrs along
I have 2 one Y and 1 X Z . Had a problem with the Y but that was not vauxhall fault . Dick head mech. Once sorted very reliable. Love them both to death.
thanks for the replys guys, sounds like mixed reviews for reliability tho... anythin i should be lookin out for in particular?
I have a 2007 V6 CDTI, it's now done 72k and I love it. I had a few 1.9 [120]s as company cars and the V6 is sooooo much better. I get 55 mpg on a motorway run; over the last 7000 miles, I averaged 37mph and got 40mpg average.
For a car that size I think that's absolutely brilliant.
Would I have another, hell yes.
