    Default Nearside rear footwell soaked

Have scoured the threads here and can't find anything that matches my specific problem.
I have 05 estate 1.9cdti and the REAR nearside footwell is soaked all the time, but the front footwell is dry.
I have followed the info here and cleaned the scuttle drain, which incidentally was clogged.
Would this have caused a wet rear footwell or would it be expected that the front well would be wet too?
I am hoping it will dry out now but any advice or troubleshooting from folk with a similar problem would be appreciated.

Heater/cooler is fine, no damage under car, though I have spotted what looks like a screw in grommet of some sort directly underneath the rear footwell?
