Egr and air box mod

Hey all,
Today I've been doing the air box mod and while I was doing that I've unplugged my egr valve.
Anyway I've read on here that if you unplug the erg valve the pick up is a little better between 1.5k and 2k revs and they are right! Plus I've just been on a 10 mile drive around thrashing it and the spanner or engine management light hasn't come on
I plan on getting my cdti 150 remapped in January and getting the egr vacle mapped off!

Mine spanner popped on immediatly when starting the engine, but it does pick up a little better
