    Default Insignia vxr tax 

I was looking at an insignia vxr today very keen until I looked in the window and written on the tax disk was £790!!! WTF is this really true or is it a written mistake? The vx assistant was as shocked as I was I thought tax only went upto £440 a year I cannot justify £790 a year just on tax so has put me off buying one  god dam robbing government.

Absolutely no reason for it other than the Governments attitude of, 'well if you can afford one of them, then we're gonna make some money off you'

Exactly. An 'Eco' tax penalty for being so irresponsible as to purchase a proper car with a proper engine. It's a free country unless you're a driver or a smoker.......

It was the only reason i got rid of the VXR. The fuel wasn't too bad really because I have a works van so the Vec was only getting used on the weekends. It was solely the tax that made me think 'No, not again, time for it to go'
