Just had my son's Vectra "B" done as well. When I was speaking with the tester afterwards,he had put an advisory on the power streering pump pipes for the same thing,he said that a light rub with a wire brush etc, would sort it out,he then said that the VOSA policy now was to "advise and pass",rather than fail.Seems like common sense is creeping into the system at long last!!!. so many have this brake pipe corrosion advisory, on our old vec B i just brushed them down and got some emery cloth on them, some I then covered them with Waxoil knowing that would take care of them for life more or less...
The wifes vec show car is currently being stripped for parts before i scrap it, keep an eye on the sales section.. https://www.vectra-c.com/forum/garage_vehicle.php?do=view_vehicle&id=709
