    Default Dead Turbo Guys?

    Evening all,

    First post on here so be gentle

    What a day at work today and to top it all off, set off home and as I pulled out of the office car park onto a busy main road, put my foot down and though I was back in my old non turbo clio van from 12 years ago. Flat as a pancake...

    There was no issue building up the speed, I had a fast approaching HGV behind to encourage me, so had to floor it so as not to upset him/her.

    The issue being there was no assistance from the turbo. I also noticed that the revs where a lot higher than usual before needing to change gear, though the car did not appear to be revving high. If that makes sense.

    Bit of history, car kept going into limp mode about 2 months ago. This was diagnosed as a bad solder/joint or circuit on the PCB of the throttle body. (Something like that) Had that repaired, job done. Roughly 3-4k miles later, (yes doing big miles at the moment) and now this is the first occurance of any issue since.

    Once had a Pug 307 where the vacuum hose fell off so ill check that tomorrow... But my main concern is that the turbo could have gone. No wheezing noise beforehand no warning lights, nothing.

    Other things I have read that it could be; EGR valve, Vacuum hose, pressure switch. Can prob check the first two myself with a bit of assistance.

    What are your thoughts guys & gals? Do I need to get on Autotrader?

    Oh Vectra C 1.9 CDTi 120...

    Just had a look under the bonnet, non of the hoses look loose. Any suggestions? It's going to be a week before I can get it in the garage...

    Can u take hose off turbo an check it still turns smoothly with no play?

    Can you get someone to hold revs at just under 2k while u look/ feel for splits?

    have a look round the vac system... any fault lights showing?
