Should be on the o/s of the raidiator, if not just take the bottom hose off.
i just changed the rad on my wifes car, I can confirm it is on bottom o/s end of the rad, you can get to it from underneath if you need to. It has a plastic flat handle to get hold of if you know what i mean
think so is it black by any chance and made of plastic
yup..... grip it between thumb and forefinger and turn... I even went out and checked it about 15 minutes ago just to double check.. its defo there...
cheers m8 was looking for a metal bolt
Got what looks like a slight coolant leakage o/s front at bottom corner of radiator on our Facelift Club with the Z18XE non VVT Engine......6 years old & 59+K miles on the clock...
Just a teaspoon a week or so at present on the ground underneath the car.......
Found this thread useful as I was wondering where the drain tap was....
Hope it's the tap/gasket leaking & not the radiator...
Will update when I've had chance to check it....
Glad I found this thread...
Thanks
Got a mate who services the car to look at it while checking over a couple of other things I was querying.....Radiator was leaking...not the drain tap
He recommended adding 'K - Seal' to the cooling system as the leak was relatively minor...small amounts....about a teaspoon or so per trip....
It's cured the leak....£9.00 from a motor factors where I work part time...vs £70.00/80.00 plus fitting for a replacement radiator.....
Cheers
