Bonnet not releasing,why?

As above I was out farting about with the car earlier and I struggled to open the bonnet,it's like when you pull the bonnet release nothing happens,i did get it open so I'm thinking the cable hasn't snapped,maybe come loose? Anyone had this prob and how do I sort it thanks

It is possible that it is sticking and needs adjustment. Pull the lever and get someone else to life the bonnet, hopefully it will pop open. Then you should adjust the cable, there is a How 2 on how to do it.

Basically there is a torq bolt that holds the cable in place on the right hand side of the front panel. Losen the pinch bolt and pull the outer cable to the right, re-tighten the pinch bolt.

Now pop a good blob of grease ontop the release mechanism, and get sameone to work the release so you can make sure it opens fully and closes fully to lock the bonnet down.
