Depends entirely how big your budget is fella.

Neo Brothers are running 400bhp+ on their race cars with this engine, but you'd need to spend a huge amount of money for that.

I'm currently running 220bhp+ on mine with a stage 3 map, basically you need sports air filter, larger green injectors and a cat back exhaust fitted to achieve this plus the map. Cost me around a grand to get to this power.

I'm planning on moving to stage 5 or higher later this year (about 300bhp) and that's going to cost an additional couple of grand. Bigger turbo, bigger injectors again, 3" downpipe and race cat, bigger fuel pump etc etc.

You're really only limited by your wallet. What's your budget?

You'll need a budget of between £2000 and £2500 then if you went down the Maptun route for example. You could probably get most of it done cheaper or with cheaper parts but you get what you pay for.

Either way you're looking at needing a hybrid TD04 "19" turbo or bigger, 630cc injectors, a bigger fuel pump (255lph is the recommended upgrade by Maptun) plus cat back exhaust, 3" downpipe and race cat (100cpi or 200cpi), air filter etc etc

Plus of course a custom re-map tuned for the parts you've changed.

The 2.0t in Vx form is 175bhp standard but uses a much smaller turbo and different air box configuration from the Saab variant of the same engine. A stage 1 re-map on the Vx takes you to about the same power as a standard 9-3ss 2.0t.

Talk to Nick at Neo Brothers mate http://www.neobrothers.co.uk they're a Saab specialist dealing more and more in Vec stuff and a lot of people now use them for all sorts of stuff. They're also the main Maptun authorised dealer in the Uk.

Neo brothers is the main place, BSR also, darrell at trq bhp (on the site) and a decent mapper (I had someone different do mine).

Good thing about neo is the upgrade path.
