Smokey signum v6 diesel

Had the sgnum two weeks now and I have a couple of boggles if some one can help
1-engine smokes when you accelerate then clears
2-after a long run when you stop the auto gearbox sometimes clunks after finding 1st- then when you let your foot off the peddle there's a pause before it engages a clunks into gear.. Doesn't happen all the time but ****** annoying
I've booked the car in today for a big service but they just phoned me and told me it doesn't have a particulate filter thingy
Any ideas chaps,liking the car

My V6 also does the same, smokes when accelerating hard after cruising for a while, has done since I bought it 50k miles ago. I think its normal, but someone infinitely more knowledgeable will be along in a minute....

HI guys

My Signum did the same, it smoked so badly it was not only embaressing but left such a big cloud behind me i couldt see what was behind me.
It went on like this for four weeks, i ran the car on two tanks of vpower diesel then the normal diesel...all of a sudden the smoke cleared.
i found when she was smoking it juddered specially with the cruise control, now shes as smooth as silk.
and the clunkling i got that too, but since the smokes cleared..nothing.
i took mine back to the garage and they gave it the once over, he said all looks fine but still he blanked of the egr valve for mr..
now she runs even better with even less smoke..
i hope this helps somewhat

All Y30 Dti smoke when you boot them after cruising. No Y30 cars have a DPF filter. They changed the egr system on the Z30 to stop this.

well after the service wow does it pull well...but it stills smoke ...
Talking to the technicion he said they couldnt check the diagnostics thoroughly as there vaxhaul softeare doesnt gothat deep..but he reckons it sounds like its misfiring...?????
I have a vaxhaul dealer close to me but is this the route i should take...

well after being at the main dealers on friday and they did there diagnostic thingy...and found nowt wrong with it...which i think im pleased ..but they did find after tyring to regass my air con the condensors got a whole in it and they wanted to quote me £520....

So chaps where do i get one from...seen a company in wales selling them for £157.00 thats with vat and deliverey...
Cars going back to vaxhaul on friday for reprograming the new key...
