Thread: Engine Mounts...

    Default Engine Mounts...

I've replaced my rear anti-roll bar bushes and front drop links, and I've completely replaced all the suspension dampers and springs...

But I now want to replace the engine torque reaction mounts, as I can feel some movement on hard accelleration.

I've read the Haynes Manual and in Section 2E.21 it suggests there is just two of them.

    - Front Mounting / Torque Link
    - Rear Mounting / Torque Link

Is that right? am I looking at the right ones. It also suggests that the job is a 4 spanner (Difficult, suitable for an experienced mechanic). But reading the job, it just suggests onbolting a few bolts.

Anyone done this before and is it a hard job?

    Many thanks as always

you will need to support the engine with ablock of wood on a trolly jack and loosen some bolts, .... interesting what is a 4 spanner in the haynes is easier than the 1 spanner changing a headlight bulb.
