Default Retro fit factory HIDs inc headlights

Is it possible to retro fit the hid headlights to a preface Vectra/Signum?

If it is possible do they just self level or do they turn (AFL) when you turn the steering wheel too?

It is possible to fit both the standard xenons AND the Adaptive Forward Lighting setups. The standard xenon is easier, for obvious reasons, but they won't self-level automatically. A few people have done it on here, and it's not too difficult - you just need a level sensor and a lot of tech2.

The AFL setup is a bit trickier as there are lots of extra components including level sensors, a new CIM specific to the AFL with a different steering angle sensor, and a LOT of Tech2. Andy.l has done it, and if you search through his threads you'll find the one where he retrofitted it to his car.

The biggest issue you'll have is finding the headlights, especially the AFL ones, as they're quite rare and were only a factory option - they weren't standard on any model except the very early GSI's. Even then it was just the normal Xenon.

Like all things, however, it IS possible...

Ive put in OEM xenon headlights to my vectra.. but i do not use the selfleveling via the sensors.

I use the selfleveling via the shocks (OEM part from VX)

the easy bit is to get them to work.. (just add a ground wire, and enable xenon in the UEC)..

The tricky part is to get the leveling if you want that via sensors.

You will need besides the headlamps:

    front and rear axelsensors
    AHL module
    Lightswitch for Xenon
    level motors for xenon
Wiring.. (probaly easier to make up, than change everything in the car...)

Also remember that factory/retrofit xenons/Hids require a washer system to be fitted that operates on every 4-5 cycles of the windscreen washers too
Hella did a preface conversion kit a few years ago including the wiring self levelling sensors and the correct factory headlights and washer system

Don't know if they still show the link anywhere...

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
