    Default 2.2 DTI intermitent problem..

Hi guys, long time no see!

Ok my vectra has started playing, but only sometime!

Seems to do it when i travel long journeys, or do a lot of stop start driving, like going to the shops, back home, to the dentist, to the garage etc etc. Also noticed it doing it if you get into a high gear as coming up a slip road, then try to accelerate itll happen.

Ok, drives absolutly fine 90% of the time, but sometimes itll go into limp mode while driving, wont rev above 2200rpm, if your driving it at the time will not accelerate, like theres no turbo, BUT if you stop, turn it off and restart the car itll have cleared!

Had it scanned and had a code like a leak somewhere, so checked all the solinoids and all the rubber connectors from the actuator to the inlet and found one split connecting to the actuctor looking thing on the egr, so replaced that and thought happy days, but then it struck again!!1

    Anybody had this problem?

I cleaned the boost sensor on mine (identical engine), had no codes or limp mode, but it still made a huge difference to performance

Takes literally a minute to get the boost sensor out mate, give it a good clean with some carb cleaner and a light thin brush if it looks really dirty. Got to be worth a try!
