    Default 2.2 direct using oil

I wonder if anyone can shed some light on a problem I've got, I have my oil and filter changed every 10,000 miles and noticed on a recent check that the oil level was low so I topped it up,I then went on a trip up north last weekend and halfway there the low oil level indicator came on.I've not got any leaks and when stationary can sometimes smell oil.
    its got 102,000 onthe clock.

Vauxhall say normal usage can be up to 1000ml per 1000 miles. Seems a lot I know but thats that they say is acceptable.

A lot of cars don't use any, but some do, just the way it is. maybe next time try some 10w40 or 5w40 as its a bit thicker so doesn't seep past the seals etc the same. Just note, if you do use those oils then stick to 10k oil changes.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

The smell could be from a small leak or even a breather hose that's split.
