    Default K&N Panel Filter

    Hi all,

Where is the best place for me to get a K&N Panel Filter for my Facelift Vectra 1.9 CDTI (195bhp VXRPC Remap)

    I've been quoted between £52-£59

...and is this the correct part code K/N Panel Filter 33-2848

as seen in the 'How to Guide' Here

tut...tut, you should've done this before the remap steve. i doubt it'll make much difference, but the map has done taking into consideration the factory air flow rate.

unless you are just replacing the existing k&n you've got in there

How would they know anyway, he didnt even lift the bonnet !!, do I have to tell them that first ??? (blind leading the blind springs to mind)

Anyway, just wondered if we have any approved K&N traders so I can get a cheap price cos I always end up paying top whack, turn up to a club meet, then someone says "jeeze, you paid HOW MUCH"

    Default K & N filter

watch out for potential MAF problems after fitting a K & N

coming from a world of VAG cars (seat, and golf were previous cars of mine) - there has been quite a few articles about potential contamination of the MAF sensor with oil mist from K & N filters (and other 'performance' filters)

alot of people seem to be leaning back towards using the standard OEM filters, as these dont give the same MAF problems - also the airflow benefits on K&N type filters are often so small that the benefits are greatly reduced

    just my experience

    regards - TB
