    Default CDC40 in prefacelift

Just looking on ebay, and I have noticed a CDC40 unit and screen from a 2004 vectra for sale!

now, im sure i've read on here, someone posted that they had used a cdc40 without any modification in their prefacelift.

is this correct? or am I imagining it? :S

Loads of modification required if your car has buttons on the steering wheel , if it has scrollers its a straight swap , just need to add the dab aerial and dab unit extra.

I am the only member to put a cdc40 and screen and have it fully functioning in a half canbus (6 buttons) car. I know all the work involved and its not a 5 minute job. Do you have scrollers or buttons on your steering wheel? you never said.

A cdc40 would not have come out of a half canbus 2004 vectra.

it is possible but will cost a fair bit to buy the parts required , a full canbus cim , a full canbus steering wheel and airbag , loom adaptor ( i had to make mine) , and then a tech 2 session. As I said i did this to prove it could be done on one of my old vectras (52 plate). But an extremely expensive mod.
