A week back I hit a pothole and thought I got away with it.

This weekend I noticed that my tyre was low so put some air in and it then when down overnight. Took it to garage today for a puncture repair only to be told that my 19" Snowflake alloy is cracked on the inside in two places (12 and 6 o'clock).

Two places near me can weld it and have quoted £65.

Is this type of repair OK, or do I have to face buying one on e-bay for £200?

Also not that I am complaining, but why has my back wheel not cracked? I suppose I better check that out also!
