    Default unsightly engine covers

Been having a fiddle under the bonnet this weekend and decided to add some black, seems strange I know but stick with me...

what I want to achieve when I open the bonnet is highlights and reflections everywhere you look, so I have started with the main engine cover, battery box and fusebox covers, and air pipe going from the filter box to the injection intake...

When time allows I will be diong the filter box and main intake pipe under the front slam panel... Watch this space lol

Very nice. I do like that, never been fond of them painted bright colours, but that looks very subtle. Looking forward to seeing it with the airbox done too.

I have 5 times now and cant wait to go back, but unfortunatley not in my vec as I have only had it 4 weeks. I will be taking it when I have chipped it, and put some different wheels, tyres, brakes and coilovers on, so will be aiming for next spring.

Maybe we could sort out a club convoy over there, now that would be good, show all the Opel boys what the Brit Vauxhalls are made of lol

Normal acrylic paint and primer, prepped with p400 wet & dry, primed then cut back with w&d, then bright silver to make the black pop, then 7 coats of gloss black left for 2 days then t-cut to death... Keep rubbing till your hand actually drops off and you will nearly be there, finish off with resin polish and wax
