Default Maptun stage 1 & stage 1+ 2.0T Vectra maps now available

For anyone that may be interested, I just got off the phone from Nicholas at Neo Brothers and the dedicated Vectra (ie. not the modified Saab maps) stage 1 and stage 1+ Maptun re-maps are finally available although he's still getting some final power figures and details from Maptun.

They're still working on the higher stages at the moment but hopefully these will follow soon ish as I'm waiting on the stage 3 to replace my modified Saab map and of course stage 5 once the new turbo is available

Apparently Nicholas is going to be posting up details and a report from Frederick at Maptun later on.

Oh and Neo Brothers are also now an authorised Bilstein re-seller apparently (wish I'd known that two weeks ago when I bought my B6's ).

LOL you must be like me Ian, I called them also today - just awaiting the detials.

It will be interesting to see how the Veccy z20NET compares stage to stage against the 93. I think we veccy owners will get less bang for buck compared to the Saabs.

I had a stage 5+ custom tune by the man Frederick himself when he came over to the UK on my 9000...
Out of all the tuning companies, Maptun is the one I would always look too.

Heh, he said someone else from Vec-C had phoned him but didn't know who.

Yeah, generally Saab get more out of the same lump because they fit better and more powerful ancillaries to it so the Vec maps will no doubt be down compared to the Saab versions. My modified Saab stage 3 map is doing 220bhp though so am hoping to squeeze a few more horses out with the dedicated Vec map.

Just waiting for Nicholas to give me the go ahead for all the bits for stage 5 now (630cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, 3" downpipe with race cat and bigger turbo), he's waiting for a new design turbo that Maptun are bringing out apparently which is rated at up to 350bhp and takes the stage 5 map from 285bhp (with the hybrid td04 "19" turbo) to 300bhp so he's advised hanging on, no point spending a fortune on the td04 "19" hybrid if the new one's due out any time and will potentially give an extra 15bhp with the new map.

Oh and the difference between the stage 1 and stage 1+ is whether or not you have the green injectors fitted (which all later 2.0T's have). Both maps are with standard exhaust etc.

You planning big things I see Ian, I am in two minds at the minute.

If I spend a couple of grand on the veccy will I keep it lol as no one else will want it due to the stage 5 mods.

I was looking at the 95 2.3aero hot, and just today had a look at the Mazda 6 MPS.

    what to do

Know what you mean, but my way of looking at it is there's no way I'm going to get a car this good for the couple of grand I can raise and besides everything I still love the Vec even after 7 years of ownership. It's only on 48,800 miles or something and if I make it even better to drive and look then I'll want to keep it even longer (which I'll have to ).

It is going to cost me just under two grand to take this up to stage 5 but then how many 300bhp 2.0T Vec estates will there be out there?

That's the cat out of the bag regarding the new power outputs from the new turbo then.
