Default Vectra 1.9 CDTi regen - This consistent with one . . .

Was driving to work yesterday, which is a 22 mile trip. Now generally to get to work and back in the CDTi I use about half of a little block on the fuel guage, if that makes sense??? about 1/16th I think off the top of my head without looking at my guage.

Yesterday though I used about one and a half times the fuel doing one way that I usually use doing both ways. So roughly I would say about 66miles worth of Diesel insted of 22. Does that sound like a Regen? It did feel a little sluggish too but that could just be in my head.

Not sure if it regen'd or if maybe the fuel guage is a little sticky! lol. Just seemed like quite abit of Diesel to burn through on a Regen, how often do these cars do the regen's roughly???

I would'nt worry to be honest, the gauge is'nt an accurate way of telling how much fuel you are using due to the shape of the tank and cornering and accelarating forces etc. The only real way of seeing how much fuel your using is filling the tank and using the trip computer every time you fill up.

Yeah it's generally fairly consistent in the day to day, but will keep an eye over the next few fill ups and see if it consistently drops at the same area, which as you say I guess could be due to shape or whatever. Just never noticed it before, seemed odd was all.

    Time will tell! lol
