Hi all, I have a SRi V6 CDTi, the ride is already quite firm as standard, what will it be like with 235/35/19 tyres? The roads are pretty awful so don't want to buy wheels then find my teeth get knocked out lol.

its not to bad but when u hit potholes it is quite rough and 19s are prone to crack i have just went from 19s to 18s the saying on her 19s for show 18s for go
The ones I am looking at are 19" Irmscher wheels, are they as prone to cracking as say 19" snowflakes?
i think its 19s in general mate
i will probably regret getting 19's as one good thing about the 18" xp wheels are there is a good high sidewall and your not watching every hole and bump in the road. but sometimes ya have got to put your own touch on the car just to give ya that extra bit of interest in the car
i put 19s on mine did not regret it just got a deal on here for swap if not i would still have 19s but they come with the risk and ride comfort
I have 19s on my Sri and the ride is quite firm and I watch for potholes like the plague
roads must be good down your way lol as theres some roads up here u just can avoid them as its all just broke up
Got 19's on mine on H&R 40mm drop springs and Bilstein B6 shocks which are quite a bit harder and lower than SRi suspension but it doesn't feel too hard and isn't uncomfortable. You do notice bumps in the road more than before (which is crap in Cambridge but other than that it's fine. I certainly don't regret fitting mine, love them in fact.

Had 19's on most my vecs all lowered I feel it fine to drive (maybe I'm used to it) and never cracked an alloy yet
