Check the front section of the Service Book, this should list what will be included, based on age and mileage

Ask the service assistant for details of what the service will include, and this should match what you expect
Also ask them what oil they will be using, it should be GM-LL specification

The OE service will be oil, oil filter, and pollen filter (depending on age and mileage may also add air and fuel filters)
Visual inspections and check of brakes, steering, and suspension
If you are staying on the premises, then put the alloy wheel lock in your pocket, during the service they should report they could not find it

Finally, check the receipt and make sure you get a copy of the service schedule
Again, check the receipt for the oil used

If its went 40k miles without a service and is now on 80k miles it needs everything done. Engine oil + filter, air filter, pollen filter, fuel filter and i would also do a coolant change and a gearbox oil change and on that mileage your timing belt will need replaced.

I would make sure you know exactly whats included in the price before you head over with the car, even if it means calling them again and asking to speak to someone with more knowledge.

VX don't list a schedule for coolant changes, but it is recommended at 10 years
For this engine the gearbox oil should only be required if it is an automatic, I've only ever had manual and never had a gearbox oil change on any

Would need to check the cambelt interval for this engine, as I understand it the later engines were 100K miles / 10 years

If you had advised them the car was on 80K miles / 6 years old then the quote should have taken into account all the items required

Presumably the car is out of warranty, so you could easily swap to the Masterfit Service and ask for all additional filters (pollen, air, fuel) to be replaced
I assume you are using a VX dealership as the car is under a Network Q warranty, but there is then an issue over the service book gap which should have resulted in the car being serviced before being released to you
