    Default Rear projection TVs

    Anyone know anything about these?

Which is the best one out of these two? One uses 3 LCDs the other uses SXRD?

I think the diffence is because with the 5362059 you can use it as a PC monitor. Personally I would go for Plasma but from this 2 I would take the one with PC input

You get a large picture for your money, but i haven't seen one yet that the quality was good enough to tempt me. If you spend a lot of time watching TV and want one that size you may be better going for a more expensive plasma....

Which model have you got Topline?

The 12u has PC input as well according to the Sony website (must be an ARGOS mistake).

I've seen one in action and the picture looked pretty good to me.

The LCD / Plasma ones in the shops don't look very good to me. Just my opinion.

    The colours look all wrong.

They never look good in the shops, no one has taken the time to set them up. A lot of places like currys, powerhouse etc use an RF distribution set up so all the tvs are showing the same thing. RF is the poorest signal a set can receive, especially if it's at the end of a 50 foot run of cable. and of course don't forget these places all use bright flourescent lighting (which you won't be using at home - hopefully!) so they do whack the brightness and contrast right up.

Hi m8 the first one looks like the one i got with pc input etc awsome set for the money believe me I paid the was price but also had the surround system with it too. I have always rated Sony had mine for nearly 12 months now. For picture quality though IMO you cant beat the Panasonic lcd's etc but you will pay 2 grand or more for the same spec set, I was in our local Sony shop last week had to get a screen cleaner & there's a newer version of this set out now with a higher resolution. I would go for it m8 you wont be disapointed...

Just had a look at mine it's the KDF-E50A12U
