Default Fuming, how can people be like that???

Last week i pick up a mk4 golf gt tdi for the missus who passed her test 6 months ago, she is still gaining confidence and previous petrol cars i brought she wouldnt drive. so when this came along she loved it!! I was driving it today and on the front near side it felt rumbley, i decieded to get it checked out and yes it was bad news. apparently front 2 wheels are buckled, 1 front wheel baring has gone, it will need new back discs and pads very soon and who ever fitted the front didnt grease them up so they squeak.
As you can imagine the missus is well upset as she loved the car.
    so to remedy i need:-
4 alloy wheels with tyres max £600
    new front wheel baring
    back discs and pads
    and front brakes greasing
I wouldnt mind but we went with the kids so they knew we had children and it only had its MOT 12 Aug.
Any help, links, advice to remedy the faults would be highly appreciated as i'd like to sort this asap so she doesnt loose more confidence.
    thanks all in advance

Did you not test drive the car or look over the car and find the faults?

Why do you need 4 alloy wheels and 4 tyres if just 2 are buckled?

People don't care mate, children or not it makes no differance.

If they can still get their money out of you that's all that matters.

I've learnt the hard way in the past. the only way to do it is treat everyone the same as if they are trying to pull a fast one and you go over everything with a fine tooth comb.

Surprised that none of these problems were not picked up on the test drive though???

Unfortunately i can't do anything to help you but i hope you get it sorted quickly and cheaply so your missus can get back behind the wheel and regain her confidence

2 wheels are buckled and 1 tyre is distorted they could do with a refurb too so didnt know if it was best to buy a set of 18's with tyres?

You probably wont be able to do the bearing yourself as it will need pressed out then in. the brack brakes on these AFAIK need a rewind tool, however i think one of them is a reverse thread. They are a *****. You not better off trying to get a decent second hand set of wheels? could save a couple hundred quid doing that

Thanks mate, well i thought if i brought new wheels and tyres then i know for sure their not buckled, in mint condition and all tyres have 8mm tread and not distorted.
ok so will take it to the garage for the wheel bearing, are the back brakes easy to do and any links for the tool?
