Hi im the hen from ireland, i have a black 2008 vectra cdti 150 sri x pack. have had a few vauxhalls down through the years. this is my second veccy as had a 00 one in 2004, it was only a 1.8 petrol so nothing exciting. ive owned a few gsi cav's down through the years my last one i sold to aberdeen in march. it was totally re-built by ronnie court in ipswich and some mite know it, H2 SDB is the reg.
bought this vectra about 2 months ago. ideally i wanted a red one but the market is small enough here in ireland so couldnt wait any longer for the right car to come around so bought this one and im happy enough so far. i'm tempted to change the wheels for 19" lambo gallardo wheels as the snowflakes are mad money at the minute. its a factory x- pack model with sat nav and 70k on the clock. diesel seems the way to go now with the price of fuel and i do a 90 mile round trip for work so the vectra ticks all the boxes. I have owned a good few performance cars down through the years from type r imprezas to escort cosworths but i think now is the time to own a diesel. the vectra is a good buy as plenty of power and good fuel economy. i hear the flywheel can give bother on these is that right ???

Welcome along. Yes DMF are the biggest worry for most Derv owners, but its not just Vec this afflicts as most Diesel cars, and some petrol, come fitted with them. Bare in mind though thats loads of people here have absolutely no issue with them.
