The new drivers act states that "once you have passed your test if you get 6 points withing 2 years of passing then you automatically loose your licence and have to pass another test"

Now i have juat passed after loosing my licence (see thread: http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109327)

and i understand it i had my licence for 2 years previously before i lost it, now have passed my test but have completed the 2 year "probation" already 10 years ago, so the rule as it stands (i think) does or should not apply to me??

it happened to me mate in 2007 got caught twice in the 2 year period 6 points all together re took my theory and practical test got my licence back but still had the 6 points on the licence. I rang the dvla and asked will i lose my licence if i get caught again in the next two years they said you can only lose your licence once under the new driver totting up rules and if i get another 6 points id then have 12 points which is a ban not a revoked licence hope it helps mate

As stated you have now retaken the test so the same rules apply
