    Default 100 edition tail pipes

Does anyone know if this is the correct tailpipe for my 100 edition? The seller seems to think not but it looks spot on. He thinks the part number I need is 93186499, could anyone clarify this for me?

    Thankyou.

Iirc the edition 100 had a slightly different design to the standard turbo pipe. So he could be right mate.

Yes, it'll be fine, as the Edition100 is a 2.0T. Edition100's were factory-fitted with tailpipes that were 'chamfered in' to follow the outer curve of the rear bumpers, but I replaced the originals on my old Edition100 with the standard 2.0T ones no problem.

Ah I see. It's just my LH pipe I need to replace and my RH tailpipe is still original so buying this would result in wonky tailpipes. Anyone know where I can get original Edition100 tailpipes or are they rare/expensive?

Good man John, I was trying to find a post where you said this before.

Best to check that the car still has the original 'chamfered' tailpipes. Only 500 Edition 100's were made so it's likely that you would need to find another Edition 100 for a direct replacement for the chamfered tip.

The chamfered tips protude less from under the bumper than the standard ones. Standard ones can be seen on any pre-facelift or facelift Vectra 'C' with factory-fitted single or double tailpipes, except the Edition 100, VXR and (I think) GSI.

Thanks guys. Just to clarify this isn't the tailpipe for an Edition100 so I either have to buy a LH and RH tailpipe for a normal 2.0t for them to match or find a LH pipe specifically for an Edition100 to match my original RH tailpipe. What a pain.

    Cheers

My original 2.2 tail pipe was as you described, its a 53 plate the same as the 100 edition so maybe it's a year thing rarther than a model/trim difference. Tbh I dont think you'll get one unless you get a second hand part with a fair few years on them.
