That could mean my missis out of a job then.
You'd have to be an imbecile to think that insurance costs will go down because of this!
I'll tell you why the costs have gone up so much - it's because of fraudulent claims and the FACT that unless there is hard evidence to prove fraud, the claims HAVE to be paid.
And it seems that most of these claims are made by unscrupulous immigrunts.

I don't know, this tied with the OFT's current request for evidence could start the ball rolling, take away one of the biggest 'issues' to insurance companies and the premiums could get lower.
    Do I think they will...

    Hell no.

Without the no win no fee system i would be stuffed. I chopped a finger off at work 100% their fault. My solicitor charges £235 per hour!!! I could afford him for 5mins! Bought a vec c gsi to cheer myself up.

Is it not the negligent drivers causing people to get injured that result in the claims that drive up premiums?

More cars on the road infrastructure increases the likelihood of accidents. There is no doubt that there are are significant amount of staged and exaggerated claims but why shouldnt people who have been injured and suffering for x amount of months be recompensed for it.

I had moderate whiplash following a shunt and had a 2 week old baby to try and look after with the missus - damn right I claimed for the lost time being able to look after her
