Short Aerial

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone knew how much the shorter aerials are at the dealers? My friend has just taken delivery of his new Astra CDTi SRi and his aerial is about 3-4inches shorter than mine. This appeals!

I got my stubby black aerial from ebay for about £4 delivered there are loads on there and it is good quality, fm reception is the same as before.

I had a shorter aerial on my 03 plate veccy so I'm guessing theyve been around a while but as bobsimes says, I currently have a £4 stubby from ebay. I've noticed a slight drop in reception but thats probably because I live in the middle of nowhere.

Do the cheap eBay ones interfere with the nav systems?

The GPS antenna is in the base (in front of the washer jet) - nothing to do with the rod aerial which is purely for the radio.

I've saw the ones you guys refer to, but ideally I'd like the OEM one thats shorter as I had a Honda one and the reception was awful... I'm after one that looks the same as the original just not as long.

See that's what worries me Nige. I know the Combo's have a shorter than standard aerial.

I also have a short one but mines from halfrauds, and my reception is definetley reduced. But thats why god invented ipods

some advertise as being High Gain bee sting ariels (don'tt hink mine was advertised as that though). I was hoping that somebody had tried one and would recommend it etc, rather like you hoping i guess...
