    Default Split pipe

I went to clean my boost sensor today as I noticed a recent lack of top end grunt and since I've had the car a year now I thought I'd see if it was that.
I popped the bonnet and found a 1 inch split in the pipe just before the boost sensor.
Part number is 55556525. I've asked my local dealer for a price and laughed at him when he said it was £84 including VAT. AutoVaux want £72 for the same thing.
My question is, since I only need the top hose, where can I get silicon hoses at a reasonable price?

Would some form of rubber bonding agent not work?

I'm tempted to try it until I can get a replacement.

Just remembered my membership has run out so no sig.

Here is the link. This is for the DTI but depending on the shape of your hose you could probably make your own

    @ lee

also remove your engine cover and check the rigid pipe (that your split flexi goes to). Check that the union between the rigid pipe and the throttle body is secure (mine had worked loose) and carefully check just below the jubilee clip between the throttle body and the rigid pipe for splits (mine had). New piece of rigid pipe on order fron VX 70£ Grrrr!

Thanks for the info, thing is though, the car still flies, I'm working from home tomorrow so will check the rigid pipe.
I don't want to buy the whole intercooler return pipe when I don't need it all. I'll look for your post regarding the pipes Innes (your link just goes to the forum root mate).

Found the AP Automotive link from Innes' thread, so I have remove the pipe to get the internal size only to find it's 63/64mm reducing to 53/54mm, nearest 90 degree elbows are 63mm down to 51mm. VX don't like giving us easy options do they?
Will the pipes give a little if places in boiling water, don't laugh I never used silicon hoses before?
