    Default Slipped timing belt

Got my vectras 5 year service last week,1.9 cdti so the timing belt, tensioners waterpump were all done. Trundling along to work today and the car hiccuped and then died. Got towed back to the garage that did all the work on it last week, looked at it fairly quickly and rang full of apologies as the timing belt had slipped bending valves but they won't know the full extent until they get the head off. I now have a Yaris that resembles a skateboard as a courtesy car for at least the next week but they are fixing it free and have said if it needs a new engine it will get a new one from vauxhall so at least that's abit of a consolation, still feeling abit disgruntled though even though I know it's gonna get sorted cars never seem to be the same after this type of thing!

I would like to be a fly on the wall for that conversation! Don't even think it will manage a game of footy, it hasn't converted me to Toyota that's for sure!
