quite a few of us have them, not much improvement, not that i've seen anyway. Have noticed the temp of the engine sits at 85c used to be 90c.
ive got one on mine it made it rev more easier getting 2mpg more on the computer i never noticed proformance but when i took it on a rolling road got 14bhp more than the car suppose to have as standard but i dont know what it was pumping out before i put the filter in
deleted other thread and moved to the more aptly tuning section
0-Large smile ......every time it's driven
i got rid of the panel air box completely and installed a K & N induction kit, the pick up now is amazing with a lovely sound to it too
I have a K&N in my car, seemed to pick up better never had it on the rollers or anything. I aways get around 55mpg on a run so can't comment on improved economym etc.
mixed thoughts here then.
i ordered it via europarts which states Guaranteed horsepower
i was looking for a little impoved performance.
Ive also read about the oil on the filter damaging the maf sensor
dont know wether to bother now as whats a standard filter; about a fiver
yeah it never needs replacing but will take nearly ten years to pay for its self and my car is already 6 years old lol
I fitted one, mainly because I wanted to, lol. Apparently it doesn't make much difference on turbo diesels performance wise, though I noticed the lag on rolling pick up decreased, also fitted silicon vacuum hoses, that helped even more.
If you stay with paper filters, do the airbox mod, makes no sense to have the engine breathe through only half the filter.
