    Default No no!!!! ****

    Hi,

    well anybody else had there vx locking wheel nut key crack, i heard they were cheap but fuming, i needed to take the wheel off, now stuck, crap crap crap.i was told it could take a couple of weeks to get a replacement any ideas???????

    Yes mate it's a ball ache.

    A garage will be able to get it off. Unless you've got some tools?? You need to get the spinning collar off the bolt. Then hammer a 19mm socket on and undo it that way

    I also read up somewhere you can whack a 3/8" socket on and get it off that way (although I havent tried and tested this method, might do though as my front locking nuts won't come off )

    Dealers should have a master set to remove the old one ... Then get it replaced

    pete, try marshalls in leicester they should have a master set as des mentioned above, then get rid and get some irmscher or McGuard ones

    20mm hss drill bit in a 110v drill, drill the sucker off.

    Might get rid of mine now after reading this.

    If your locking keys are in tack I've got a nice impact gun that might be able to budge them

    If youv'e got rac cover then get them to do it they done mine just deflated the tyre and they came and removed locking nut and also done the other three and bought an after market set had no dramas now.

    Just replace my Vx locking wheel nuts because they'd been on for 6 years now and figured I was pushing my luck a bit with the reputation they have for breaking.

    I believe the AA / RAC carry locking wheel nut removers fella, if you're a member they can probably get it off for you.
